Two Massacres...

On this day in 1999, the massacre at Columbine high school occurred. Two men, products of the Government indoctrination system (aka public school) shot 34 people before shooting themselves. This was a terrible tradgedy, but frankly the environment fostered by the public school system was the cause. Although most would probably say that public schools teach citizens to abide by the law, school premises are free of armed law abiding citizens and are not safe places.

April 20th is also Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Day. The common denominator in both cases is the absence of firearms in the hands of just citizens, and I mean just by God's standards.

He who has set the limits to our life has at the same time entrusted to us its care; He has provided means and helps to preserve it; He has also made us able to foresee dangers; that they may not overwhelm us unaware, He has offered precautions and remedies. Now it is very clear what our duty is: thus, if the Lord has committed to us the protection of our life, our duty is to protect it; if He offers helps, to use them; if He forewarns us of dangers, not to plunge headlong; if He makes remedies available, not to neglect them.
