"Symbols Of Rascism And Hatred"...

That's what Auburn councilman Arthur Dowdell called the Confederate flag. After he ripped four up from private burial plots, placed there by the United Daughters of the Confederacy to commemorate Confederate memorial day. What a slam on our heritage! Not only was it misrepresented, the graves of our fallen sires were desecrated.
I think it could be more truly stated that the US flag is a symbol of tyranny and debauchery.

No slave was ever imported to the continent under the Confederate flag, only under the Stars and Stripes.

Is the British flag not racist, too?

It flew over ships taking slaves of all shades to work on their plantations.

Every culture has parts of their past they'd rather forget, why pick on the Confederates?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Stephen.

They forget that "Martin Luther King Day" was originally Lee And Jackson Day.
Right on about the British flag Son3.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

They should really pick on the flags of whatever African country they came from...their countrymen are the ones who sold them into slavery!

How dare he! Will he deny those who sought to honor and preserve the vision of our forefathers? Things like this are warnings. Check your rifles and ammunition boxes boys!

Thanks for the comments, Johann.

I'm not a reenactor, if that's what you mean.
